FREE Scripture Writing Plan

Sometimes we might hear more about Abraham when we're younger. There are lots of Old Testament "stories" (or histories, as someone once pointed out to me!) with Abraham as one of the main characters. The last time I taught the 1st graders at our congregation, the whole quarter was Abram's (& Sarai's) story, and I was fascinated. Because I had been seeing Abraham's name all over the New Testament still - and in one of the class sessions, I made sure to tell those first graders that Christians are part of Abraham's family today. We may not be related by genetics, but we're certainly related by faith. 💙

...for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise. {Galatians 3:26-29}

This scripture writing plan is pretty important because this guy Abraham is pretty important in God's story. His faith in God was great, but we'll see some recorded times that he definitely wasn't perfect! We don't often write narratives during scripture writing, so this is going to be a bit different from the usual...but I think you might just love it. 🥰 There are so many wonderful things to learn about God and Christ in these passages!

If you are interested in the extra Bible study that goes along with this month's theme, we'd love to have you join us! (And I recommend going back to catch the "Grafted In" study, too, from earlier this year - there's going to be lots of wonderful overlapping verses & themes! And that will continue into next month's "Covenant" study, too. 😍)
